Sanitation and resurfacing work on Camino Viejo streetin the municipality of Teguestehave begun after last week the signing of the reconsideration verification certificate with the winning company, Construcciones Rodríguez Mesa SL
As of this Tuesday, May 2, work will begin in the areawhen the popular festivities that are celebrated these days in the municipality of Tegueste come to an end and thus avoid inconvenience during the celebration both to the local population and visitors.
This is the first performance of the improvement work planned in the center of the municipality. In this first phase, the works focus on the renovation of the pipes in the Camino Viejo and will cover from the junction with the access street to the municipal holy field to the heather road.
The intervention will consist of the installation of a separative network for sanitation and rainwater. It also contemplates the construction of a new supply network, as well as the renovation of home connections. As soon as the works are finished, the pavement will be renewed.
Said works are included in the project to renew the sanitation and collector infrastructures in the municipality, within Municipal Cooperation Plan 2018-2021in response to the needs program defined by the City Council to renew the pipes in different parts of the municipality.
Thus, the project also contemplates the renovation of sanitation in El Pino street. The works will also focus on the construction of a separate drainage and stormwater network, as well as the installation of pipes for the water supply on both sides of the road, with the replacement of household connections. Once the networks are installed, the street will also be resurfaced.
In addition, a spillway will be built in the collector of La Arañita street, to discharge the network and avoid overflows. This intervention is included in the project to improve the Comarcal del Noroeste-Tejina collector, promoted by the Island Water Council Tenerife.
The deadline for executing all the actions is 13 months. For its execution there is an investment of 1.2 million euros, the Cabildo faces 90% of the financing and the city council the remaining 10%.
