SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 30 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
Aarón Rodríguez Ramos and Lía González García are the new Children’s Magician and Magician of the May Festival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife. The minors, representing the Carricitos Cultural Association and the El Cabo Colombófilo Cultural Club, respectively, were dressed in the costumes ‘Farmer of Tenerife at the end of the 19th century, beginning of the 20th century’ and ‘Woman from La Palma 1’.
The court of honor of the Children’s Magician was made up of Chloé Rodríguez Herránz, Oriana González Rodríguez, Mara Hernández Negrín and Tania Pérez Bautista; while the Children’s Magician was made up of Mateo Fernández de Quincoces del Castillo, Yaniel Déniz Hernández, Salvador Acevedo Bermúdez and Aitor Amyach Martín.
The mayor of Santa Cruz, José Manuel Bermúdez, was in charge of placing the respective bands for the winners, while the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, presented the awards to each court of honor.
The Plaza de la Candelaria showed a full audience to witness a show that had the participation of 15 applicants, 10 girls and 5 boys. Javier Caraballero directed a gala presented by María Rodríguez, who interacted with different characters set in the world of piracy, by the company Timaginas Teatro; In addition, there were performances by the Tenerife singer, participant in Voz Kids 2022, Mario Falero and the Achimagec folklore children’s school.
The jury that appointed the new Magician and Children’s Magician of the founding festivities of Santa Cruz, was made up of the dancer of folkloric groups and connoisseur of traditional Canarian clothing from Tenerife, Denis Cristóbal Santos González; the artisan of traditional Canarian clothing and president of the Hautacuperche Folk Association of La Gomera, Ernestina Arteaga Hernández; the artisan and dressmaker of Traditional Canarian Clothing from El Hierro, Dolores Castañeda Acosta; the dressmaker of traditional costumes from the Canary Islands of La Palma, Carlos Armando Afonso Martín; the artisan, seamstress, seamstress of traditional Canarian clothing and workshop monitor for the FEDAC of Gran Canaria, María del Pino Alemán Marrero; the clothing styling technique and artisan of traditional Canarian clothing from Lanzarote, Dulce Arrocha Caraballo and the artisan of traditional Canarian clothing from Fuerteventura, Inmaculada Montserrat Suárez Sastre.
