The PSOE of Santa Cruz brings a motion to plenary session today for the City Council to launch the traditional market of Anaga, with the aim of promoting and revitalizing the economy of the Anaga Rural Park. The motion, presented by the mayor Florentino Guzmán, includes in its arguments that it is essential to understand that the revitalization actions “should not forget one of the most important places that the municipality of Santa Cruz de Tenerife has, the Park Rural de Anaga, to promote, generate and energize the rural economy of this place declared a Biosphere Reserve.
“And it is that we are -he continues- before the main tourist attraction that the municipality has where without a doubt the best way to know its town and its culture is to get closer to its people, to know their traditions and their way of life”.
For the PSOE, “the implementation of the traditional market of Anaga aims to support the farmers of the massif, improve agricultural productivity, promote crafts and unique traditions of Anaga, enhance the cultural / natural characteristics of the massif and promote local production.
It is about enhancing the economy linked to the Anaga massif, generating new business opportunities, he concludes.
