Nueva Canarias contests the elections in less than half of the municipalities

In front of more than half a thousand people, according to the organization, New Canary Islands presented the candidacies with which he will run, in the elections on May 28, for the Parliament of the Canary Islands on the Island, the Cabildo and 14 municipalities of Tenerife. Your president, Roman Rodriguezlamented that on this island “some problems that are being addressed in the rest of the Canary Islands have not been resolved.”

Explicitly, he referred to the connection of the houses to the sewerage. “It is inexcusable that at this point in the 21st century we have 30 or 40 percent of the homes in the rural areas of Tenerife without connection to sanitation, when it is a legal obligation and a right of the people.” A problem to which he names, but implicitly: «That has happened because those who have governed this Island have only been concerned with the issues that were going to give them electoral gain and have neglected others, like this one, which makes Untreated water continues to be dumped into the sea. You now have the possibility to change this once and for all », she remarked.

The lack of sanitation networks was the problem on which he focused his criticism of the CC and the PSOE

Daniel Díaz, mayor of Tacoronte and Nueva Canarias candidate for Parliament for the Tenerife constituency, indicated that being a member of the Canarian formation of progress means “betting on social commitment and changing the reality of the municipalities of our Island. That is what It is making us grow unstoppably thanks to you, who are the ones who give our ideas the permeability necessary to transform the Canary Islands. And now, finally, the time has come to do it with Tenerife”, remarked the candidate.

Along the same lines, the candidate for the Presidency of the Council of Tenerife, Valentín Correa, spoke, who focused his intervention on exposing the certainty that Nueva Canarias “will offer a government program for the insular Corporation that has a tangible plan for Tenerife that is going to get us out of three decades of insular misrule, which have been divided Canarian Coalition and the PSOE. We are the third way, an alternative to those who have gotten us into the problem that we have been suffering in recent years.

Municipalities

Nueva Canarias will also compete in Tenerife for the mayors of the municipalities of Arico (Pedro Jonay Díaz), Arona (Nauzet Fariña), Candelaria (Óliver Déniz), El Sauzal (Juan Daniel Fajardo, on behalf of AISA-NC), El Rosario ( Escolástico Gil, after an agreement with IR-Verdes), Garachico (Román Miranda, after an agreement with A’Gara), Güímar (Carlos Llarena), La Laguna (Ana Orán), La Orotava (Miguel López), La Victoria (Vicente Pérez), San Juan de la Rambla (Juan Alberto Pérez), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Odalys Padrón), Tacoronte (Daniel Díaz) and Tegueste (Antonio López, representing Ahora Tegueste-NC).

Precisely, on Saturday it was when Nueva Canarias presented to the Zone Electoral Board the list with which it will attend the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, led by Odalys Padrón. He did the same with the electoral list for the Mayor of La Laguna, with Ana Orán as a candidate for the Laguna City Council.
