SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 20 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Insular Foundation for Training, Employment and Business Development (FIFEDE), launches three new ‘Employment Shuttles’ on the island in Adeje, La Orotava and La Victoria de Acentejo to facilitate access to the labor market for unemployed people.
This free job orientation program aims to help unemployed people to reactivate their search for teamwork, with new orientation techniques and digital tools so that they do not fall behind in the current labor market.
The three new ‘Employment Shuttles’ will begin in May and each of them will have 20 participants, who will meet three days a week, in person and in the morning, to reactivate their job search.
The difference is in the group to which each one is intended. Thus, the La Orotava shuttle, which will be in the House of Youth and Art, will be aimed at unemployed people of all ages, from 18 to 60 years of age.
In the case of Adeje, located in the Center for Tourist Development, the target group will be unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 30, inclusive, and in La Victoria de Acentejo, the support of the shuttle, located in the House of Youth and Art, is aimed at people over 35 years of age.
The participating people will have the guidance and support of specialized technical personnel who will produce an improvement in the employability of the different groups with which they will work, reports the Cabildo in a note.
Thus, they will carry out emotional intelligence dynamics to focus their professional objective and learn to develop a comprehensive job prospecting plan; they will learn to manage programs to update their curriculum; they will rehearse job interviews to gain confidence in the selection process; they will reinforce their transversal skills and digital skills, they will take advantage of the smartphone and social networks to search for jobs online and they will make employability maps and contact companies.
People interested in participating in the program, totally voluntary and free, with an average job placement of around 60%, have until April 24 to register on the web https://fifede.org/ or in person at authorized offices in each location.
