The Local Government Board of the La Laguna City Council approved, in its session last Monday, to grant a total of 15 subsidies for the rehabilitation of real estate of a patrimonial nature corresponding to the financial year 2022, by complying with the requirements established in the corresponding call , for an amount of 72,658.79 euros, of the total of 160,000 euros budgeted for this purpose last year, according to municipal sources.
Specifically, the amounts subsidized ranged between 872 euros and 8,000 euros, which is the maximum contemplated in this line of aid, and which covered between 40% and 70% of the budget presented by individuals for the rehabilitation of their properties. .
The subsidized works included, for example, cleaning up and painting of facades, conservation, waterproofing and re-roofing of roofs, updating of connections to the rainwater network, electrical installations and plumbing and sanitation, among others. For the 2023 financial year, the budget for this line of subsidies is again 160,000 euros.
It should be remembered that this line of aid, promoted by the Department of Historical Heritage, is intended to help in the conservation and restoration of listed privately owned assets, and not only of the historic center but of the entire municipality.
