Tenerife attends the XXXVI Salón Gourmet de Madrid hand in hand with the Cabildo with a varied offer of its local product. The six denominations of origin of the wines, as well as honey, fresh meats, chocolates, liqueurs and extra virgin olive oils, will be present at the Island’s stand at Ifema for four days, from today to Thursday. Without forgetting the vermouth or the Fasnia figs. The realization of two culinary demonstrations focused on the promotion of artisanal fish and meat and agricultural products stands out.
The Island comes to this important gastronomic event with a space of 15×3 meters. The Cabildo will collaborate with the Canary Islands Institute for Agri-Food Quality (ICCA) in a special event aimed at fostering, enhancing and promoting fishing in the archipelago through its flavor and respect for the activity.
The Gourmet Lounge is the largest annual trade fair for high-end food and beverages. As in previous editions, the Tenerife space will be integrated as a co-exhibitor in the Government of the Canary Islands. Within the program of the Tenerife stall, the two aforementioned culinary demonstrations with tasting stand out.
Red tuna millefeuille.
Specifically, today, starting at 2:15 p.m., students will be taught how to prepare a red tuna millefeuille, with mashed sweet potatoes and crunchy tuna pork rinds. Tomorrow, at the same time, a low-temperature black pork will be prepared with plantain marinated in red mojo sauce.
