The Cabildo, under the agri-food quality seal of Alimentos de La Gomera, continues its agenda of gastronomic events with the participation in the Salón Gourmets de Madrid, considered the largest quality food and beverage fair in Europe and one of the most prestigious in the world, which is being held at IFEMA starting this Monday.
The island participates in this gastronomic event for the fifth time with the main objective of showing professionals in the sector the variety of agri-food products from the hundred companies adhering to the quality seal.
The cheeses, wines, gofios, almogrotes, sweets and smoked preserves of the island will be the main protagonists of this event that hopes to bring together more than 100,000 visitors around a program made up of different activities, such as workshops, tastings, and commented tastings, in addition to customer service and information for the public, with information and promotional material for the Alimentos de La Gomera brand.
Salón Gourmets is the number one quality food and beverage fair in Europe that presents the best showcase of high-end trends. With a history of 35 editions, growing numbers and a purely commercial spirit, it is the most visited platform and a meeting point for national and international professionals in the gastronomic sector: restaurants, hotels, distribution, catering and specialized trade.
The event expects to have 2,000 exhibitors and the visit of more than 100,000 professionals, and with a program of more than 1,200 activities, such as guided tastings, tastings, contests, live cooking demonstrations, and outreach sessions.
