A man, whose age is unknown, was rescued this Monday afternoon by a helicopter from the Emergency and Rescue Group (GES) after suffering a fall while hiking in Las Cañadas del Teide.
The events occurred shortly before 3:30 p.m. when the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (CECOES) 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands received an alert requesting health care for a hiker who, as a result of a fall, presented trauma in an ankle that prevented him from continuing the march.
The GES helicopter rescued the affected person and transferred him to the La Guancha helipad, where an SUC ambulance took care of him and transferred him to the hospital.
