He Taoro High School Today, Monday, April 17, the registration period to participate, with carts and carts, in the La Orotava pilgrimageIn honor to San Isidro Labrador and Santa Maria de la Cabeza which this year celebrates its eighty-sixth edition and will take place on Sunday, June 18. People and groups interested in participating with wagons or cars have until May 5th.
The pilgrimage, as it is known today, organized by the Liceo de Taoro, began to be held on a Sunday, June 21, 1936. From that date to the present, it has been held except for the years of 2020 and 2021 due to the pandemic world.
The registration period opens today and will close on the first Friday of May. During the first week, exclusively the wagons or carts of owners residing in the Villa will be registered. Registration must be carried out in person, at the secretary’s office of the Sociedad Liceo de Taoro in the morning, from Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or in the afternoon, Monday and Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., or by email info @liceodetaoro.es, attaching to it all the required documentation and proof of payment of the cost of participation, which will be 30 euros plus IGIC for carts and carts. This payment will be made at the time of registration.
A qualified technician will be in charge of the inspection and state of the carts, which must all be supervised one week before the celebration takes place.
The draw for the order of departure of the carts and carts on the day of the Pilgrimage will be held in the assembly hall of the Liceo de Taoro on Friday, June 2 at 7:30 p.m.
The maximum number of carts and wagons allowed will be determined by the number of teams available; and the order of registration will be the one that determines the participation in the raffle.
Regulation

The Taoro High School will once again award prizes for the best decorated wagon and wagon, for the best group, and for the combination of both. The winners aspire to prizes of 200 euros, and choose the starting position in next year’s edition.
The Liceo de Taoro Cultural Society also organizes other popular events within the festivities such as the election of the Romera Mayor, the Wine Contest and the San Isidro Tennis Open as part of the celebration of the patron saint festivities of La Orotava.
