The candidate of Canarian Coalition to the Mayor’s Office of Granadilla de Abona, José Domingo Regalado, has assured that They want the next mandate to be that of the start-up of the “major infrastructures” for the municipality and that they reach all the neighborhoods.

During the official presentation of the CC electoral list to the municipality in front of about 600 peopleJosé Domingo Regalado stressed that one of the most important things “is that all these large infrastructures already have a project and financing thanks to the fact that we know how to manage”.

“In these six years we have managed, We arrived with a debt of 10 million that is now at 0 and we work with people as a top priority with the arrival of COVID. Now is the time to implement these large infrastructures that Granadilla and its inhabitants need because our goal and priority continues to be the well-being of our neighbors,” the candidate said.

Several projects on the agenda

Given detailed various projects such as a new day center and functional home for the elderly for San Isidro, the future Farmer’s Market, the new Police Station, the remodeling of the Novedades Cinema in Charco del Pino, the construction of a library and study room in Los Abrigos or a multipurpose building in the town for municipal, island and regional offices . “And the most important thing is that you have clear ideas, the projects and the financing to be able to carry them out”, he added.

In addition, he assured that with the Canary Islands Coalition at the head of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Cabildo “the new Palace of Justice and the new offices of the Canary Islands Employment Service will arrive in the old townthe new Vocational Training center in San Isidro and the new College in Charco del Pino”, highlighted Regalado.

The current nationalist mayor also explained his plans for all the neighborhoods and nuclei of the municipalityas a great cultural center for El Desierto, the purchase of the Sala Velatorio de Chimiche, improving the Sala Velatorio de El Salto, another cultural center in Los Blanquitos, a venue for cinema and rehearsals for Charco el Pino and a cultural center in atago.

“We will fight for a medical office in Los Abrigoswhere we will also reform Plaza El Pescador and build a 500-square-meter playground, and also actions in Cruz de Tea, Casablanca and Las Vegas,” Regalado explained, recalling that everything “already has projects and financing.”

In addition, he stressed that they will have “a more sustainable municipality, without discharges into the sea, with more green areas and with reclaimed water for agriculture and gardening thanks to theThe investment that is currently being made of 40 million in the improvement of the sanitation system and construction of urban and industrial wastewater treatment plants. To this we will add the reclaimed water for agriculture and livestock. Desalinated water so as not to affect the aquifers”.

Regalado commented that one of his virtues is to listen and his defect is that he likes to do things well: “That leads me to demand from others. We must continue to improve and advance.” In addition, he left a clear message: “If they think that by denouncing us, scratching our cars and telling lies we are going to take a step back, they are very wrong,” she said.

Of his team, Regalado highlighted the illusion: “This is a family, it is more than a political party, it is the #equipoRegalado and that is what makes me really want to and much more enthusiasm to move forward. It is a team of 18 women and 17 men from all the neighborhoods of our municipality and of which I am very proud. I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for them, we are Granadilla de Abona”.

The team that will accompany José Domingo Regalado on the CC list to Granadilla de Abona is made up, among others, of María de la O Gaspar (2), María Candelaria Rodríguez (3), María Concepción Cabrera (4), Marcos José González (5), Eudita Mendoza (6), Rubén García (7), Raquel Morales (8), Carlos Abisamel Díaz (9), Ramón Fredi Oramas (10).

Promotion of the Center for the Elderly of El Médano

For her part, the Canarian Coalition candidate for the Council of TenerifeRosa Davila, announced that it will promote the El Médano Senior Center from the next island government: “The land was ceded by the City Council and the agreement was signed with the previous CC government with Carlos Alonso, and what the PSOE has done is let it die. They have not done anything in these years.”

In addition, Rosa Dávila promised to launch an investment plan in cultural infrastructures in Granadilla de Abona so that infrastructures such as the Auditorium a reality: “This is very important because the municipality totally lacks these infrastructures. This is when we see the sectarianism with which the PSOE has governed in the Cabildo in these four years, prioritizing investments in municipalities governed by the same political sign”.

The nationalist candidate also assured that will reactivate the Paseo Marítimo project on the coast of El Médano“another project with which nothing has been done, has been left to die, harming the residents of Granadilla”.

Likewise, he promised to promote policies that improve the issue of housing in the municipality. Specifically, he announced that in The CC government program contemplates the implementation of an insular plan for the acquisition of empty housing intended for social rent with a contribution of at least 40 million euros during the mandate.

In addition, they will launch a Comprehensive Housing Rehabilitation Plan with the aim of improving some 500 homes. This plan will have an initial endowment of 5 million euros that may be expandable depending on demand with the aim of improving habitability, safety and accessibility, explained the candidate.

Dávila highlighted “the great team in Granadilla and the strength of the nationalist project in the municipality“: “Our party represents everyone, regardless of whether it is a small or large municipality, whether it was born here or abroad. It is for all these people that we work for every day and for whom José Domingo and his team work in Granadilla”.

About José Domingo Regalado he said that he is “a good person, a man who stands out for his seriousness, closeness, responsibility and honesty as fundamental values when it comes to working, but especially the virtue of forming a team, since only with the collective drive can projects move forward”.

“Granadilla was sunk because of the PSOE, but six years ago the situation changed. Thanks to José Domingo and his human team, the municipality is different because its main motivation is to serve the citizens“, he asserted. “Thanks to the work of the mayor and his team, Granadilla now grows in employment and economy, it is a lively and young municipality that is full of hope and future,” said Dávila.

In this sense, he made a call for mobilization so that the south of Tenerife and the Canary Islands “be tinged with nationalism again“. “We need a strong, nationalist Canary Islands and Tenerife with the desire to move forward,” he stressed.

For this reason, the Canary Islands Coalition candidate for the Cabildo de Tenerife called for the mobilization of “each and every one of the people of the party and the municipality to return to govern in Tenerife and in Canary Islands. We have to mobilize street by street and neighborhood by neighborhood.”
