Flowers, candles and a minute of silence on the seventh anniversary of the collapse of a building in Los Cristianos


The Arona City Council has commemorated this Friday, April 14, the seventh anniversary of the collapse of the Julián José building, located in the center of The Christianswhich caused the death of seven people.



In the act, chaired by the mayor, José Julián Mena, and which was attended by members of the corporation, the president of the neighborhood community, Ánima Marrero, relatives of the deceased and representatives of the emergency personnel, has observed a minute of silence.



A bouquet of flowers and candles have also been deposited on the wall surrounding the site where the collapsed building was located.

Subsequently, the singer-songwriter Ramón Domínguez sang a song in memory of the victims of the tragedy, the Arona City Council reported in a statement.



In addition to causing the death of seven people, the collapse of the property forced the eviction of another 90, also from neighboring properties, and mobilized 250 troops during rescue tasks that lasted several days, in which members of the Military Unit intervened. Emergency (UME).
