The Town Hall of Acentejo’s Victory announces that he has obtained a score of ten in transparency, “the highest qualification possible for the efficient and clear dissemination of all those data related to the functioning of the local administration”. That has been the assessment in the annual report published a few days ago the Transparency Commissioner of the Government of the Canary Islands on the degree of compliance with the information obligations of a total of 335 public institutions and entities of the Archipelago.
For the Government of Juan Antonio Garcia Abreu (PSOE)this qualification «reflects the constant work since the victorious Consistory for improving year after year its level of transparency”. The report now published corresponds to the analysis of the 2021 financial year, where the highest grade is reached, a 10 out of 10«passing in just 6 years from failing with a grade of 1.85 obtained in 2016 to the current outstanding within the Canary Islands Transparency Index». The City Council also improves its results compared to 2020, rising by 0.07, although it has maintained its outstanding performance since 2019.
garcia abreu thanks the work of the municipal stafftheir effort and their collaboration to guarantee access to public information by citizens, “since, without a doubt, they have contributed to these good data, which are the reflection of efficient, close, clear and accessible municipal management” .
The scores of the Canary Islands Transparency Index reflect the quality of the transparency portals of public institutions and entities, with scores ranging from 1 to 10. The evaluations have been prepared since 2016 and allow us to know how the public institutions and entities of this autonomous community comply with their information obligations in their transparency portals.
The victoriero portal is enabled for consultation by all those neighbors who wish to do so in the website of the City Council of La Victoria de Acentejo. “We will continue in the same line of work and commitment, not only to continue maintaining this note, which is a valuable indicator, but also because we cannot conceive of any other way of working that is not with the maximum openness and transparency,” concludes the mayor.
