SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 10 Apr. (EUROPE PRESS) –
The National Police have arrested a 51-year-old man of British origin after seriously disrupting the operation of the emergency services after warning of a false bomb warning.
The investigations of the National Police investigators began when a call was received on the 112 emergency telephone line in which this person warned about the placement by third parties of explosive devices.
In that communication, the man stated that he had heard two people with a foreign accent talking about the placement of backpacks with bombs inside them in a public place.
Given these circumstances, the National Police activated the corresponding protocol. After mobilizing different police signs, it was determined that the threat was not real.
On the part of the National Police investigators, once the investigations aimed at identifying the person responsible for this alteration of public services were carried out, this man was arrested, immediately bringing all this to the attention of the competent Judicial Authority.
