The council chaired by Emilio Navarro has installed 3 public mechanical self-assistance stations for bicycles that allow cyclists to carry out maintenance and repair tasks at a specific time in order to resume riding in the event of a minor breakdown.
These stations are endowed with a set of tools; screwdrivers, spanners, open-end wrenches, allen and tools for removing and assembling tire covers. They have a wheel inflation system that is operated by a rotating crank and comes complete with a pressure gauge and a water intake to clean the bike. Likewise, they are equipped with arms to fix the bike and facilitate the most common operations on the machine.
The municipality has become a place very frequented by cyclists, both residents and tourists who use the bike as the main source of sporting activity, so the placement of these assistance points was necessary in every way.
Assistance points are located at the Mirador de Archipenque, in Tamaimo near the gas station and in Santiago del Teide near the tourist office.
