The candidate of Canarian Coalition to the presidency of the Council of TenerifeRosa Dávila, expresses her purpose of promoting knowledge and dissemination of the intangible heritage of the Island to preserve the hallmarks of the Canarian people.

To this end, it will allocate one million euros to the «knowledge, study and dissemination of traditional culture and our heritage, which is expressed in multiple facets such as crafts, folklore, popular festivals, rituals and performing arts or knowledge linked to nature and the universe». To this end, Dávila will involve groups familiar with these disciplines through the Insular Plan of Traditions.

Rosa Dávila points out that material heritage, referring both to the inheritance of our ancestors and to movable and immovable heritage, “We consider it a fundamental part of our identity. For this reason we will promote its conservation, study, rehabilitation and dissemination for the knowledge of citizens and we will promote the area of Historical Heritage. The candidate of DC stresses that the initiative “will also be an opportunity to promote the employment linked to heritage with studies related to the humanities, architecture, restoration and rehabilitation of the same, thus diversifying the economy and providing employment opportunities for our young people.

The Insular Plan of Traditions is one of the 200 measures that Dávila proposes in his government program “to serve the people and recover the leadership of Tenerife.” The document is open to the public, who can make contributions.
