The Santiago del Teide City Council approved the start of the improvement works project on Geranio de Los Gigantes street, which will have a budget of almost two million euros.
The action will consist of the installation of new sanitation, rainwater and supply networks that will improve the efficiency of the services.
Likewise, paving works will be carried out on the sidewalks, including directional indicator tactile pavement and warning indicator in pedestrian crossings, including the necessary lowering for the accessibility of the area.
After the works to improve the services, the urbanization works of the street will be carried out, improving accessibility and pedestrianization.
It is a necessary action for the residents and to continue betting on the renovation of the tourist public spaces that the city council is pursuing.
4-star tourist establishments are located in the area and the opening and construction of two other luxury establishments is planned.
For Emilio Navarro “the initial approval of this project is great news for the tourist area of Los Gigantes since, in addition to resolving the basic problems that the municipality has in services, it will also act on the renovation of the fundamental public space in said area for future investments in these luxury hotels and thereby accompany the municipal strategy in sustainability, efficiency and renovation”.
