The mayor, José Domingo Regalado, talks about the importance of this project since until now its population has to move to Charco del Pino or the dune. “This equipment will be available to the public in the near future, it will offer a quality service to the neighbors and it will make it possible for actions such as watching over, remembering and burying our loved ones to be carried out in a comfortable and dignified place”, he stated.
The building consists of three floors and different spaces, with integral air conditioning. The ground floor is for the staff, offices and warehouses, bathroom areas, kitchen-dining room, changing rooms and the arrival and departure of coffins; On the upper floor there are two rooms and areas for family members, a balcony, an interior patio, bathrooms and kitchens. At the back of the enclosure, it is announced that 24 car parks will be enabled during the summer.
The City Council acquired the plot in 2018, recalls the mayor, to fulfill the commitment made upon reaching the municipal government and for which it was necessary to modify the General Planning Plan, which only allowed the installation of equipment for mortuary services in the field of municipal cemetery and adjoining land, a reduced space that did not meet the current technical requirements for equipment of these characteristics.
