The Investigating Court of La Laguna (Tenerife) has ordered the provisional detention of a young man who has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of eight crimes of robbery with force that between December 2022 and January of this year have been committed in the municipality of El Sauzal.
The Civil Guard has reported that a 23-year-old resident of El Sauzal is the alleged perpetrator of the robberies, which were always committed at night, by forcing lock cylinders, breaking window covers with manhole covers and leveraging of doors.
The Civil Guard says that the detainee is a very active criminal with numerous records for crimes against property, who also had a search and arrest warrant.
In these robberies, effects such as jewelry, electrical appliances, mobile phones and cash have been stolen, all valued at 18,500 euros, and the Civil Guard points out that in one of them a vehicle was stolen that was in the garage of a house, and that he recovered.
The Civil Guard comments that during the aforementioned months there was an increase in crimes of this type in El Sauzal, which caused some social alarm among the residents.
Agents of the armed institute identified and located the now defendant, for which they requested judicial authorization to carry out a house search, where they located “numerous” stolen objects, which have been delivered to their owners.
