SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
National Police agents have arrested a 52-year-old man, with a police record, for allegedly harassing a company worker through calls and messages sent to the phone that the victim used for work reasons.
The facts were reported to the National Police days ago. A woman reported being subjected to repeated harassment by a middle-aged individual. The harassment began personally in Los Realejos. This man walked towards her when he was parking the car labeled the company he works for.
Later, on consecutive days, this man, after writing down the telephone numbers of the company car signs, called her on multiple occasions and sent her text messages with clear sexual content, giving her a significant feeling of personal insecurity.
The National Police investigators, after receiving the complaint, proceeded to identify the alleged perpetrator of the events, a 52-year-old individual with a police record, and proceeded to arrest him in the town of Puerto de la Cruz.
The detainee, after being heard in a statement at the police station, was placed at the disposal of the competent judicial authority.
The National Police reminds that against these forms of violence, in order to adopt actions with a view to their eradication, in the event of detecting behaviors likely to be considered crimes of harassment, the people who may be affected inform the Police or the Courts.
