SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 29 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Cabildo de Tenerife has approved this Tuesday the contracting file for the drafting of the Teno pier project, in Buenavista del Norte, worth 263,573 euros.
The insular president, Pedro Martín, explains that “currently the ship that keeps the fishing boats has multiple structural problems, as well as the dock, which is affected by storms, and both the parking lot and the accesses are not conditioned”.
The objective of this project, therefore, “is to adapt and rehabilitate the dock to protect this jetty of great strategic value, which will improve the fishing area and allow the embarkation and disembarkation of passengers in the area of special interest on the part of the municipality of Buenavista to direct part of the visitors that go through the Masca ravine towards Punta de Teno”.
The insular director of Tourism, Laura Castro, details that “the accesses to the jetty and the complementary service areas of the beach, known as La Ballenita, will also be conditioned, as will the beach and its accesses from the TF-455.”
Castro has pointed out that this project “will improve the conditions of this resource and its conservation, providing greater value from the visit to enclaves such as Masca or the coastline of the Rural Park itself.”
The drafting of the project, which has an execution period of nine months, is part of the ‘Tenerife and the Sea’ program, of the Strategic Framework for Insular Development (MEDI-FDCAN), collects a note from the corporation.
