SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 26 (EUROPA PRESS) –

A 56-year-old hiker had to be rescued by the GES helicopter this Saturday afternoon after suffering an accident on the road that goes from Punta del Hidalgo to Chinamada, within the municipality of La Laguna (Tenerife).

As reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 112, the woman suffered trauma to her lower limb, for which she was rescued by air resources and transferred to Tenerife North Airport.

There, a basic life support ambulance from the Canary Islands Emergency Service (SUC) was waiting, which took the affected person to the University Hospital of the Canary Islands.
