The Vice President and Minister of Finance, Budgets and European Affairs of the Government of the Canary Islands, Román Rodríguez; the Minister of Health, Blas Trujillo; the director of the Health Area of Tenerife, Ignacio López, and the manager of Primary Care of the Island, José Miguel Rodríguez, accompanied by the mayor of El Rosario, Escolástico Gil, participated yesterday in the act of laying the first stone and presentation of the construction project Local Clinic of La Esperanza.
This new Primary Care health center, which will be built on a 650-square-meter plot ceded to the Government by the City Council, will have an investment of 2.2 million, 85% co-financed by Feder Canarias funds and an execution period of 24 months.
Román Rodríguez congratulated himself on the start of work on the new office, an old demand of the residents of El Rosario that materialized after the commitment that he himself acquired in 2020 with the mayor, who thanked the Canarian Government for the impulse given to resolve this historical demand.
For his part, the Minister of Health announced that, with this new health center, the portfolio of services will be considerably expanded, since the new property will allow the incorporation of profiles of professionals included in the +AP Strategy, such as physiotherapists and clinical psychologists. The new building will be built on three floors and will have an emergency care area with differentiated access from the outside and all the technical units. The current Local Office is located in a municipally owned building with significant structural limitations where it is not possible to carry out an adequate remodeling.
