This talk will try to answer questions that concern society: How is it affecting the Islands? at what point are we? What are the dangers inherent in rising temperatures? And what about our marine ecosystems? And with the trade winds?
Its objective is to bring the problem of rising temperatures associated with climate change closer to the public and how it affects the ecosystems and the population of the islands. will participate Abel Lopez Diez, PhD in Physical Geography and researcher at the University Chair for Disaster Risk Reduction and Resilient Cities at the University of La Laguna; the disseminator and graduate in Marine Sciences, Juan Carlos Garcia Carrillo (recognized influencers environmental @jc.oceans), who will give his vision related to the impact on marine ecosystems; Omaira E. Garcia RodriguezPhD in Atmospheric Physics and head of the Infrared Spectrometry research program at the Izaña Atmospheric Research Center (CIAI), dependent on the State Meteorological Agency (AEMET), and Victoria Palma Martel, graduated in Physical Sciences and Head of Meteorology at Radio Televisión Canaria, who will contribute her vision on how the media inform us. The discussion completes it Veronica Paves Lorenzojournalist specialized in science, currently editor of Health, Science and Environment of THE DAYwho will be in charge of moderating and giving the floor to any member of the public who wishes to give an opinion or ask a question.
