The candidate of Canarian Coalition to the Presidency of the Canary Islands, Fernando Clavijoand the nationalist candidate to preside over the Cabildo de Tenerife, Rosa Daviladenounced this Wednesday, March 22, the “total and absolute abandonment” of the northwest of the island by the Government of the Canary Islands and of the Council of Tenerifean abandonment that supposes “Four lost years for the families and residents of this area”.

During your visit to Los Silos, Buenavista del Norte, Garachico and Icod de los Vinosboth Clavijo and Dávila were able to verify that this area «has many deficiencies that have not been resolved due to the abandonment to which the PSOE has subjected them».

Clavijo recalled that in the stage of the previous CC governments “we worked hand in hand with the municipalities, as is the case with garachico, where we find a mayor with the task done and things clear. was inaugurated the port of GarachicoWe promote and enhance the culture and identity of the municipality, which is a benchmark throughout the Canary Islands, and we work with the tourism and agricultural sectors. And this made Garachico and Isla Baja give an important leap in the well-being of its neighbors».

“Also with the launch of the North Hospital, which we left ready and which now has facilities that are still closed. We see many deficiencies in these four years that have been wasted, they have been four lost years for the citizens of this area of Tenerife», lamented the former Canarian president.

Fernando Clavijo advanced nationalist commitment from the future Government of the Canary Islands so that the “island has a balanced development, that all its inhabitants have the same opportunities, regardless of the municipality in which you were born, and always hand in hand with the municipalities and the Cabildo. That is our commitment, to work and work with the sectors and institutions, without looking at their political color, and putting the citizen at the center of management and political action».

Rosa Davila denounced that “there are many deficiencies that exist on the lower island for the null work that the Cabildo has done in these four years, since it has not made the necessary investments to promote this area. We talk about abandonment of investments in highwaysthe abandonment of sectors such as tourism and the primary sector and the lack of policies and infrastructures that make this part of the island has been paralyzed».

Francis González y Clavijo, this Wednesday March 22 in Icod de los Vinos The day

In Dávila’s opinion, there should be more insular and regional investment, “not only in highways or in the Hospital del Norte”, but also so that “people can stay and live here, on Isla Baja, without having to go elsewhere. That they can live here with all the comforts and opportunities for professional training, education, employment and health.

He mayor of garachico and CC candidate for mayor, Jose Heriberto Gonzalez, recalled that “this is one of the most remote regions of the metropolitan area and there are many shortcomings that have not been resolved. In these four years we have made absolutely no progress and it is unacceptable that this is the only region where no progress has been made. no investment in roads».

county hospital

«It is not acceptable that we continue to have a regional hospital, located in icodwhich has not advanced at all in these last four years, and on top of that there is no future program», sentenced the mayor of Ciudad del Drago.
