Sergio García, who directed up to 10 Galas of the Carnival Queen of Santa Cruz de Tenerifepassed away last night at the age of 76, as announced by Cadena SER.
García was always a firm defender of keeping the gala in the Plaza de España, as he indicated two years ago to Atlantic Today, remembering that in one of those acts “5,500 people at the same time” came to be on stage, giving a good measure of their magnitude.
Sergio García also directed several Galas for the Carnival Queen of La Orotava, where he was born, as well as several for Miss Spain.
