The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, has proposed favoring channels of dialogue that allow for a solution to the labor conflict that exists in the Metropolitano company, for which he has appointed the insular director of Human Resources and Legal Advice, Lidia Pereira, as interlocutor that will be incorporated into the negotiation between the two parties, assisted by two heads of service linked to the area.
Likewise, the majority trade union representation of the workers will incorporate a representative from the insular or regional sphere into the negotiation for mediation in the conflict.
Pedro Martín has transferred this initiative to the majority union in the Metropolitan public company, with which the Cabildo and the union representation intend to bring positions closer and try to come together in an agreement that guarantees the provision of a quality public service to citizens and adapt the working conditions of the staff.
