Meeting of Murgas de Tenerife in the Carnival of Los Cristianos 2023

Most of the most successful murgas in the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2023 met on Sunday, starting at 7:00 p.m., at the Los Cristianos International Carnival venue at the Tenerife Murgas Meeting, with which they put on the the culmination of the program for the first weekend of the festivities in the tourist city, which began last Friday. Mamelucos, Burlonas, Retorciditos, Diablos Locos and Trapaseros gathered on stage.

Previously, at 5:00 p.m., the Carnival Parade had taken place, one of the events with the greatest carnival flavor, since it is made up of local groups from the festivities. The tour began outside the cultural center of Los Cristianos and ended in La Pescadora square, in the bay.

Last Friday the International Carnival of Los Cristianos began with the inauguration of the exhibition of the photographer Laly González at the Cultural Center, an exhibition on this event that will be available until March 31.

On Saturday the recreational events began, in this case with the Great Announcer Parade, which brought together thousands of people on the Golden Mile to attend a color tour in which more than a thousand people who are part of the comparsas participated. , groups or choreographic groups, among others, both from Arona and from the island as a whole.

Subsequently, Cuban music from the forties and fifties filled the Carnival venue, bringing together the Estrellas del Buenavista show, which brought together a large number of people.
