SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 18 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The mayoress of Los Llanos de Aridane, Noelia García Leal, has shown her surprise and indignation after the statements released by the Canary Islands Coalition and has defended that the work on the Civil Guard barracks has been carried out “with all the guarantees and total transparency”, they are “duly justified” and “have technical supervision”.
This has been stated as a result of the fact that the CC group in the City Council has indicated in a note that the mayoress prevents the opposition from accessing the supporting invoices for the works carried out in 2018 for the reform of the Civil Guard barracks that the The Consistory awarded to companies owned by Ángel Ramón Tejera, known by the name of ‘Mon’ in the summary of the ‘Cuarteles case’.
Noelia García Leal has indicated in a note that this week the CC spokesperson was informed that in next week’s commission all political groups will be given complete information on all the works carried out on this infrastructure, so that “a Once again, the only thing the nationalists are looking for is to confuse the people of Aridan with false information, with the aim of harming this government team, and more so now in pre-electoral times”.
García Leal affirmed that this information was requested on March 13 and since it is from 2018, it is being sought as soon as possible, “so no type of information is being hidden because there is nothing to hide and hopefully all the municipalities in those governed by the nationalists to deliver the information as quickly as we do in Los Llanos,” he added.
In addition, the mayor warned that from CC “they have been crossing the red line for months, slandering me and hiding under their initials because they know that if they stood up I would denounce them in court.”
Likewise, the mayoress explained that the Civil Guard barracks is municipal property and dates from the 50s, and added that the current occupants “transferred the urgent need to undertake improvement works” and, according to García Leal, “we carry them out as we do in all municipal infrastructures, in order to have an adequate maintenance of them”.
He also recalled that these works “are duly justified and not only have technical supervision, but that anyone who goes to the barracks today can see them: remodeling of electricity, and conditioning of walls and ceilings carried out between 2018 and 2019. In In total, there are two minor works and a contest in which 7 companies applied and this contractor won”.
Finally, he reminds CC that they know “perfectly” that this contractor has won tenders in four municipalities on the island, “and it is precisely in one governed by CC that it has allegedly executed more works and with greater investment than in Los Llanos de Aridane having fewer inhabitants,” he added. Therefore, once again, he asked the nationalists to stop “muddying” municipal politics “with the bad arts to which unfortunately they have already become accustomed to do politics.”
