A 36-year-old man, with a police record, has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of a crime of damages, since he is attributed the burning of 19 garbage containers in the Tenerife municipality of The Realejos.
The National Police reported the arrest this Friday, in a statement stating the repeated burning of garbage containers occurred in February, which, it adds, generated insecurity among the neighbors and damages of about 8,500 euros.
All the fires occurred in the urban area, between blocks of flats and vehicles, with the consequent risk of spreading to cars and houses attached to the containers, adds the National Police. In one of the cases, a house had to be evicted as a result of the fire.
The National Police, with the collaboration of the Local Police, identified a 36-year-old man, who was found on several occasions near the scene of the events.
