The City Council opens until April 14 the period to request aid for the acquisition of textbooks and / or school supplies

The Santiago del Teide City Council informs that the application period for financial aid for the acquisition of textbooks and/or school supplies for the 2023/2024 course is open until April 14, aimed at students enrolled in the levels of Early Childhood, Primary and Secondary Education of the municipality.

Students who meet the following circumstances may apply for the aid that is the object of this call:

1.- Be registered and reside in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, with a minimum seniority of at least six months prior to the time of submitting the application.

2.- To be studying Pre-school, Primary or Compulsory Secondary Education in a public center based in the municipality of Santiago del Teide, in another adjoining one due to school transport.

3.- That the income level of the family unit to which they belong does not exceed the result of five hundred euros (€500.00), in accordance with the formula established for the granting of these aids in base nº 6.

Regarding the amount of these, it will depend on the level of studies, if you belong to a large family, the aid increases by 10%

further. If you belong to families in which any of its members is affected by a legally qualified disability equal to or greater than 33%, the aid is increased by 10% more. If the previous two requirements (b and c) are met, the increments are cumulative.

Those interested in submitting said request by electronic means must make the necessary arrangements through the municipal office:

People who want to present the documentation in person must request an appointment at the General Registries of the City Council itself (922-86-31-27 ext 120-121) or at the Office of the Mayor of Playa de La Arena (922-86-70 -01) carrying with them the application form and the necessary documentation that can be downloaded at the following link where there is also all the information related to these aids:
