Los Realejos honors the most veteran workers of its municipal companies

The Los Realejos City Council paid tribute this week to the workers with the longest service in the municipal public companies Realserv and Aquare. A gold medal and several silver and bronze medals were awarded to recognize periods of 30, 25 and 15 years of seniority in the squad. The royal mayor, Adolfo González (PP)presided over this annual act, in which he was accompanied by the delegate councilor for these public entities, Domingo García (PP). The accidental secretary of the City Council and of the boards of directors of Realserv and Aquare, María José González Hernández, proceeded to read the resolutions by which she became aware of the list of distinguished people in this 2023.

In the municipal service company, realservreceived the gold medal for 30 years of service Luis Miguel Carballo Hernandez. The silver medal for 25 years of service was awarded to Carlos Hernández García, Domingo López Galván, Isabelino Martín Martín, María Mercedes González Labrador and Agustín Antonio Galván Lópezwho join Lucia Baeza Garcia and Rosa Elena Garcia Luis, who could not attend due to being on medical leave. A bronze medal for 15 years of service was awarded to Antonio Eduardo Hernández León, Zebensuí Hernández González and Ángel Santiago Afonso González.

In the case of the municipal water company, Aquarehe only received a bronze medal for having exceeded 15 years of service Miguel Angel Gonzalez Chavez Abreu.

After the delivery of medals and diplomas, the manager of the public companies, Ricardo Ramirez; the staff representative, Orlando de Ara; the concilor domingo garciaand Adolfo Gonzalezwho reiterated their congratulations to the distinguished staff and their gratitude for the work carried out, “always with a clear vocation of service to the public, which is, after all, the commitment acquired when starting this professional journey and with demonstrable facts”, in the words of the mayor

“They continue to be, as we have pointed out on other occasions, our eyes on the public roadthe staff at street level, whose task is to attend to essential public services and infrastructure maintenance, but also to make everything a little prettier, paint a lamppost, repair a bin, plant, water and take care of our gardens, clean the squares, roads and public spaces, continue fighting for the reduction of water supply lossescollect the waste that we generate, put everything in order before an act and collect everything and clean at the end of a celebration of any kind, all this and more are the public human resources, the people, the people who integrate Realserv and Aquare and of which Los Realejos, this Town Hall and this mayor are personally proud of their work”, he valued Adolfo Gonzalez.

The act also remembered Miguel de Ara Cabrera, recently deceased

The royal mayor also made special mention of Miguel de Ara Cabrera“who last year received gold medal Upon completing 30 years of public service, who for so many years championed the representation of employees in the works council and who unfortunately passed away very recently, always being a permanent example, and that is perpetuated in our memory, of commitment and good work done”.
