DERBI CANARIO CD TENERIFE – UD LAS PALMAS: Police deployment with 230 troops for the Canary Islands derby

The classic of soccer canary among the Sports Club Tenerife and the Sports Union Las Palmas This Saturday at the Heliodoro Rodríguez López will have a large police device, which will be made up of 230 troops.

The device established for the match, declared as high risk, will coordinate agents of the National Police, Civil Guard and Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerifeas well as members of private security, the Red Cross and Civil Protection.

Regarding the State Security Forces and Bodies (FCSE)the device will be made up of 230 troops, including agents from the Police Intervention Unit (UIP) of the National Police, citizen security and the UCO of the Civil Guard of the two provinces, as well as a helicopter and a drone for the surveillance.

Within the scope of the powers of the Local Police of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, all the usual traffic measures will be adopted in this type of sporting event with the aim of delimiting the surroundings of the Heliodoro Rodríguez López stadium and guaranteeing safety, including closing to traffic from 1:30 p.m. on Saturday on the main roads surrounding the sports venue.

There will also be parking bans, of which the main ones will be in force from 12:00 noon.

The Local Police device and the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council itself will also carry out the appropriate escorts and prior review of the itineraries in the transfers of both the visiting team and their fans, in coordination with the National Police.
