A plan of 120 million euros to create in four years 2,800 socio-sanitary places with which to care for the elderly and other people with some dependency. It is one of the main proposals of Rosa Dávila, candidate for Canarian Coalition to the Presidency of the Cabildo of Tenerife, with a view to the next elections to be held on May 28. This was pointed out yesterday at a press conference in which promised to “return Tenerife to the leadership it has lost” with the government in these last four years of the PSOE and citizens.
“Our objective is to create 2,800 new places for dependents through the Socio-Health Infrastructure Plan and the recovery of the Ansina program so that 60,000 older people can return to activities and have active aging,” Dávila remarked, accompanied at the appearance by the Secretary General insular of CC de Tenerife, Francisco Linares, and the nationalist spokesman in the insular Corporation, Carlos Alonso.
For Dávila “it is urgent to implement the Social Health Infrastructure Plan after the PSOE has not been able to build any new plaza, wasting the resources provided by the Government of the Canary Islands and that together with the resources that the Cabildo had to commit, it represented a lost investment of 120 million.
The 200 ideas of “a program to govern” and that the Island “stop being a burden for Canary Islands» They are articulated around four fundamental axes: social affairs, employmentopportunities for Tenerife and citizens, and sustainable revolution.
living place
The CC government program contemplates an insular plan for the acquisition of empty homes to allocate them to social rental with a contribution of at least 40 million euros.
Health
Dávila proposes measures for the definitive start-up of the North and South Hospitals, and to reduce the waiting list for surgery and specialized consultations. “We denounce that Tenerife is mistreated by the Ministry of Health and the people of Tenerife suffer the worst ratios in practically all records.”
Employment
Through the Barrios por el Empleo program, Rosa Dávila wants to train and provide job opportunities to more than 20,000 people throughout her mandate, increasing the resources of the program to 20 million euros. In addition, CC raises the creation of the Youth Employment Plan, with an initial game of 5 million euros. Special dual employment and training plans are also planned in the circular economy, the ship repair sector, the textile and fashion sectors, sports, the electromechanical sector or construction.
SMEs and freelancers
Aid to SMEs and the self-employed will increase to 5 million per year, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce and other entities, “because they are the most important part of the island’s productive fabric,” according to Dávila, who promises to simplify the requirements for access to aid.
Mobility
CC will allocate 100 million euros a year for the island roads, including treatment and landscape improvement. And it will continue with its commitment to public transport with a budget of 40 million a year to finance free buses and the tram for the duration of the crisis. Within this section of mobility, CC is committed to guided transport and the development of the flexible BUS-HOV of the TF-5 between the Valle de La Orotava and the metropolitan area, the third lane of the TF-1 between the Tenerife airport South and Beach The Americas and the closure of the Island Ring, among other actions.
The trains
The nationalists bet the trains of the North and the South that they recover “after they have been put in a drawer by the PSOE.”
‘People 2030’
Rosa Dávila will launch the People 2030 initiative to have “more prepared, capable, enterprising and creative people from Tenerife”. That is why she advocates for innovation, digitization and the values that are inherent in sport.
sustainable revolution
Dávila devised a Pact for the Sustainability of Tenerife, with plans for the green economy and the blue economy, and the empowerment of the composting industry. The treatment of water discharges is a priority, so CC will make an investment of 100 million to solve the island’s problems, particularly in collectors and sewage distribution networks.
Tourism
Dávila proposes promoting the construction of the Puerto de la Cruz pier. “We need to revive the engine in the north of the Island and this investment, together with the reactivation of the projects of the Urban Development Consortium for the Rehabilitation of Puerto de la Cruz, will allow us to achieve it”, explained the candidate for the Cabildo.
Primary sector
A comprehensive strategy will be developed to promote food sovereignty and generational change in the primary sector, with a plan of 4 million euros per year to promote local consumption, and the creation of units at the island and municipal level that manage animal welfare. , among other measures. Thus, an initial item of 2 million euros is planned for the construction of regional animal shelters.
