Agents of the Civil Guard belonging to the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Command of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the framework of the operation Marlisa, have clarified the murder of a young man committed on February 21 inside a house in the town of Tabaiba, in the municipality of El Rosario.
The events occurred last Carnival Tuesday, when three men killed the young man after a very violent attack, which was perceived by the residents of the block of flats who proceeded to alert the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes). 1-1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
Once at the scene, Civil Guard service units proceeded to activate a fire department from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Park to open the door of the residence where the event had occurred. Inside the house they found the lifeless body of the young man with obvious signs of violence, so from that moment the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police and specialists from the Criminalistics Laboratory of the Civil Guard, the who made a meticulous visual inspection and photographic report of the scene for several hours.
One of the perpetrators of the events ended his own life, hours after the event, inside a sports supplement shop that he ran in the San Benito area, in the municipality of La Laguna.
With the progress of the investigation, everything seems to indicate that the perpetrators deceived the victim to go to Tabaiba’s home for reasons unknown up to now, where they finally ended his life.
It has been necessary to carry out meticulous investigative work in order to identify the participants in the event, making it necessary to carry out a study of a huge amount of data from cameras on public roads, witness statements, recognition of escape routes, effects collected in the place of the events.
As a result of the steps taken by the investigative team, on the morning of February 25 and March 4, the other two perpetrators of the events were identified and located, who, after being brought before the courts, They were booked into prison without bail.
