At this time of the year, the hotels in the capital, according to the employers of the sector, already register 80% of reservations for the dates of celebration of Carnival in the street , specifically from February 9, the day on which the announcing Parade will take place. This was stated yesterday by the Councilor for Fiestas, Alfonso Cabello, who pointed out that of that 80%, 20% has been made directly, that is, from clients who have called the hotels directly to make the reservation.
Cabello, who appeared at the Control Commission held yesterday at the request of Cs, explained that, so far, the Autonomous Party Organization has not had time to put into practice the motion approved last year in which the creation was advocated. of a Carnival chair, although he did say that a working group has already been created.
