A man is in critical condition after going into cardiorespiratory arrest after choking in a hospitality establishment in Arona, on the island of Tenerife, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center of 112 of the Canary Islands.
The events occurred this Wednesday afternoon at a restaurant on Avenida Las Américas in Arona and the person alerting what was happening gave the first attention to the affected person following the instructions of a doctor from the Canary Islands Emergency Service ( SUC), present in the operating room.
Subsequently, local police officers who appeared at the scene confirmed that the affected person was in cardiorespiratory arrest, for which reason they began to practice basic cardiopulmonary resuscitation maneuvers and applied a Semiautomatic Defibrillator (DESA).
Subsequently, the SUC staff and a doctor from the Los Cristianos Health Center continued to perform advanced cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the affected person, managing to recover his pulse, so that once stabilized, he was transferred in critical condition to Hospiten Sur.
