The Island Council will allocate this year 6,336,296 million euros in direct aid to the Tenerife livestockwhich represents 30% or more than in 2022, in order to promote the economic recovery of the sector and contribute to sustaining its productivity.
The president of the Cabildo de Tenerife, Pedro Martín, reports that “today (yesterday) we have approved in the Governing Council the bases and the call for aid for livestock feeding, to which this year we have allocated 2.5 million euros, almost double what we allocate in 2022, to try to alleviate the extra costs of feed for livestock ”.
“We are working so that our aid does not overlap with that of other administrations. In this way, we ensure that such an important sector for supplying the population and the social and economic support of many families and municipalities, have continuous income throughout the year”, he adds.
For his part, the Island Councilor for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Javier Parrilla, emphasized that this year “we are going to urgently process all aid related to the supply of food, which will help reduce uncertainty and promote business confidence and productivity in the sector”.
The insular owner of the primary sector advances that the bases of the aid to the Livestock Health Defense Groups (ADSG) of the island will also be published soon, for a value of 100,000 euros, “always keeping in mind that they do not coincide with the aid of other administrations to facilitate the submission of applications.
