SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 5 (EUROPA PRESS) –
A 48-year-old man has been seriously injured in a motorcycle accident that occurred today Sunday on the TF-21 highway, as it passes through the Teide National Park, as reported by the Emergency and Security Coordination Center (Cecoes) 1 -1-2 of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The event occurred around 11:50 a.m., when the 1-1-2 operating room received an alert stating that a motorcyclist had suffered a fall at the height of Portillo Alto and required medical assistance.
The Cecoes immediately activated the necessary emergency resources to intervene in the area and a basic life support ambulance from the SUC, an Immediate Emergency Response Team (ERIE) from the Red Cross, Civil Guard and Park personnel traveled to the place. .
The Red Cross ERIE staff provided first aid to the injured person, who was transferred by SUC ambulance to the Hospital Universitario de Canarias due to serious lower extremity trauma.
The Civil Guard made the corresponding report and regulated traffic in the area after the accident.
