The Municipal Operations Coordination Center (cecopal) from Santa Cruz de Tenerife reported this Saturday on the “important presence” of aguasvivas (jellyfish) on the beaches of Las Teresitas and Las Gaviotas, probably the bathing areas located in the capital of Tenerife with the largest number of users.
For this reason, from the Cecopal they ask the bathers who have wanted to enjoy today a sunny beach that take extreme precautionary measures to avoid mishaps such as bites.
Likewise, it has confirmed that it has proceeded to raise the red flag in Las Gaviotas and the yellow one in Las Teresitassince in the latter there is less density.
CAUTION: The red flag is raised 🟥 on Las Gaviotas beach due to the significant presence of #aguavivas #jellyfish and the flag 🟨 in Las Teresitas for the same reason, although there is less density on the latter beach. #PlayasSantaCruz
