SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, March 3 (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Board of Directors of Metrotenerife, a company dependent on the Cabildo de Tenerife, has approved the appointment of Pedro Ribeiro, graduated in Higher Industrial Engineering and MBA, as the new manager of the company that operates the tram service after the completion of the personnel selection process started in October last year.
The company’s idea is for the new manager to join Metrotenerife at the beginning of April.
The insular Councilor for Mobility and president of Metrotenerife, Enrique Arriaga, explains in a note that “the members of the Council seconded the election of Pedro Ribeiro for his qualified and proven preparation in the management of urban, suburban and light rail networks and because he has been directly linked to the tram”.
In fact, from February 2007 to December 2016 he was Director of Operations, and previously, through the company Transdev, he had been in charge of coordinating and supervising all aspects of development, production and assembly necessary for the commissioning of the tramway Tenerife.
During his professional career, Pedro Ribeiro has held different management responsibilities in important companies in the sector, mainly in the field of pre-operation and operation of tram and light rail networks or in the construction phase of these transport systems. .
Thus, until now, Ribeiro held the position of Senior Operations Director of the Jerusalem Tram (LAVI Light Rail O&M).
