The Department of Culture and Festivals of the City of La Guancha, directed by Lorena Socas, with the collaboration of different local groups, have prepared a carnival program, which will start this Saturday, March 4, with the arena and will end on Saturday, March 18, with the hat dance and in traditional Burial of the Carolina. the traditional Murguera Festival of Tenerife It will once again be one of its highlights.
The streets of the town center will be filled with rhythm and color starting at 5:30 p.m. this Saturday, with the participation of the comparsas Los Villeros, Los Rumberos and Los Joroperos; the murgas Los Tiralengüines, Los Tiralenguas, Las Chaladas and Los Trinkosos; the batucadas Ritmo y Armonía and Ritmo del Viento; and local groups, the La Guancha Occupational Center, the Magic Dance ballet, Los Cavicanes, the La Piola municipal toy library, the Fisco Chico Nursery School and the La Guancha Casco senior club.
In this edition, the arena will repeat its usual route through the streets Doctor Fleming, El Vínculo and El Sol, to conclude in the Plaza de la Iglesia with a great festival, enlivened by the Malibú Band orchestra and the Kimbara group.
The scheduled events will continue on Saturday, March 11, starting at 8:00 p.m., in the Plaza de la Iglesia with the VIII Fiesta Murguera de Tenerife, which in this edition has a large poster: Trapaseros, Diablos Locos, Bambones, Mocking and Ironic. Free and free entry.
The end of the guanchero carnival will come on Saturday, March 18, with various traditional acts. The hat dance that is recovered this year with a children’s edition starting at 6 in the afternoon and that includes various previous workshops aimed at the little ones. At 7:00 p.m. the proposal is also addressed to the adult public, with a festival enlivened by the group Arguayo Band. Around 8:30 p.m., the traditional burial of La Carolina will begin.
