The school council of CEIP Fray Albinoin Santa Cruz de Tenerife, after an extraordinary meeting, has reached the agreement of the change of name of the center.
In a press release, the school itself has announced that the procedures will now begin for the center to acquire the new name of CEIP Rambla de Santa Cruz.
The new name was voted among several options, among which there was also Carla Antonelli, Mercedes Machado, Toscal or Ventanas de Colores. The Rambla de Santa Cruz option received 115, well above the rest.
The minutes of the vote, as indicated, will be transferred to the City Council of Santa Cruz de Tenerife, and to the Ministry of Education, Universities, Culture and Sports of the Government of the Canary Islands.
The origin of the name of CEIP Fray Albino
the name of the educational center was imposed in 1944. Fray Albino was named bishop of Tenerife on December 18, 1924, taking possession of the diocese of Tenerife on August 12, 1925, until February 18, 1946.
