The Moving the Planet association will carry out an activity of collection of butts in Playa Jardínin Puerto de la Cruz, this Saturday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
The collection of cigarette butts is an essential activity to maintain a clean and healthy environment, prevent pollution and reduce the amount of cigarette butts that reach the seas. In the last decade, the production and consumption of cigarette butts has increased worldwide, causing serious environmental problems and a significant accumulation of cigarette butts in different public places, including the ocean, seas, and rivers.
This is not the first time that it has carried out this type of action, it has already done so in the area of La Quinta, in Santa Úrsula, on several occasions, with the participation of around fifteen people, but in this specific case, as it is a larger scope expect this figure to increase.
