The National Policein Santa Cruz de Tenerife, developed a special device called “Operation Sinatra”designed to guarantee security during the activities scheduled during Carnival, the period between April 17 and 26, 2023.
32 people have been arrested for different reasons, especially an attack by a law enforcement officer and injuries; 230 reports have been processed for violation of the Citizen Security Law 4/2015, and 108 humanitarian services have been carried out.
The security device has had the deployment of uniformed units -Citizen Service Groups (GAC); Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR), Police Intervention Units (UIP), Mobile Brigade-Transport Police- which have had the support of the air resources service
Investigation tasks have also been reinforced during the celebrations, with plainclothes personnel from the district police stations, and from the Judicial Police, Information and Immigration Brigades.
