Candelaria will not celebrate this Friday the so-called Murgas Nightwhen the murgas Zetas Zetas and Diablos Locos renounced it, after the absence of the representatives of Las Palmas and therefore the postponement of the traditional Regional Meeting.
This afternoon, the Mayor of Candelaria, Mari Britoand the Councilor for Fiestas, Manuel González, held a meeting with the winners of the murga contests in Santa Cruz de Tenerife and Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, with the exception of representatives of Serenquenquenes who excused their attendance.
The objective of the meeting was to analyze the controversy created and look for solutions to carry out the Regional Meeting of Murgas. As expected, the meeting passed in good spirits and it was agreed to hold the event in the near future, summoning the murgas to find the ideal day for everyone.
The City Council continues to bet on maintaining the Meeting, which this 2023 will celebrate 19 editions. In the next few days the agreed date will be made public, which will not be for organizational reasons this weekend.
