The data is provisional, indicated in a statement from the Santa Cruz de Tenerife City Council, which explains that two of the arrests were carried out by agents of the Local Police, in one case for sexist violence on the General Serrador bridgeand the other when a man with a search and capture order was detected.

The third arrest was made by agents of the National Police who arrested a person in connection with an assault.

During the last day of the carnival in the capital of Tenerife, the Advanced Command Post (PMA) and the Carnival Hospital They remained active for almost 23 hours without interruption, coordinating the police, health, firefighters and Civil Protection personnel.

The data from the night operation concluded with the care of 109 people, of which 98 were adults and 11 minorsand in that period alcohol poisoning accounted for 48 percent of all attendance at the piñata Saturday night dances.

Balance sheet statistics also indicate that 52 men and 57 women were attended during the last hours of the carnival in the street, and that among those affected by alcohol consumption, 44 are adults and seven are minors.

In these celebrations, accidents due to injuries and falls are also very frequent, reporting 12 cases for this pathology, and 9 situations were added to the catalog of aggressions, and 13 people have been treated for common diseases.

In addition, 9 people were referred to hospitals to perform diagnostic tests or receive more specialized care due to their pathology, and 13 incidents were recorded in the category of other causes.

In the preventive and health device for the youngest and managed by the Spanish Red Cross, in coordination with the Local Police unit attached to the Minors’ Prosecutor’s Office, the police group recorded and analyzed the data of 16 minors, 11 girls and five boys, 63 percent due to alcohol poisoning.

In it Violet Pointpresent at the Hospital del Carnaval, the professionals assigned to said resource advised two women who suffered cases of gender violenceone of which required medical attention.

In a statement it is indicated that from noon, when the festive activities related to the daytime carnival began and until the beginning of the night dances, 90 people were attended by the security and emergency services.

By age, 75 percent were adults, and of the total interventions carried out, 41 percent were generated by excessive alcohol consumption.

The injuries required assistance to 9 people; Due to pathologies not related to the development of Carnival, 21 patients were intervened; and it was necessary to refer 2 people to hospital centers to carry out diagnostic tests.

The Unit Attached to the Office of the Minor Prosecutor of the Local Police recorded the data of 13 minors during the daytime celebration of the carnival, 8 of them treated for suffering from alcohol poisoning.

In addition, in the Violet Point installed in the Hospital del Carnaval itself, it was only necessary to carry out awareness-raising tasks.
