SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE, 26 Feb. (EUROPA PRESS) –
The Advanced Command Post (PMA) and the Hospital del Carnaval de Santa Cruz de Tenerife treated a total of 109 people last night during the night operation, of which 98 were adults and eleven minors, almost half due to poisoning ethyl.
According to the City Council, the statistics of the balance also indicate that 52 men and 57 women were attended during the last hours of the Carnival in the street.
For their part, among those affected by alcohol consumption, 44 are adults and seven are minors.
In addition, in these celebrations accidents due to injuries and falls are also frequent, with up to 12 cases being reported for this pathology.
Meanwhile, in the catalog of aggressions nine situations framed in these circumstances were added. Also 13 people have been treated for common illnesses.
Finally, nine people who were referred to hospitals for diagnostic tests or to receive more specialized care due to their pathology were counted. In the category of other causes, 13 incidents were recorded.
In the preventive and health device for the youngest and managed by the Spanish Red Cross, in coordination with the Local Police unit attached to the Minors’ Prosecutor’s Office, the police group recorded and analyzed the data of 16 minors, 11 girls and five boys, 63 percent due to alcohol poisoning.
ARRESTS OVERNIGHT
Local Police officers arrested two men; in the first of the cases due to gender violence that occurred on the General Serrador bridge, and, later, to another man who was detected and on whom there was a search and arrest warrant.
For its part, the National Police arrested a person related to an assault and both police forces collaborated in the definitive closure of the musical activity within the area of the Carnival Quadrilateral.
At Punto Violeta, present in the Hospital del Carnaval, the professionals assigned to said resource advised two women who suffered cases of gender violence, one of whom even required health care.
90 ATTENDANCES DURING THE CARNIVAL BY DAY
From noon, when the festive activities linked to the Daytime Carnival began, and until the beginning of the night dances, a total of 90 people were attended by the security and emergency services.
Regarding the distribution by age, 75 percent were adults; and of the total interventions carried out, 41 percent were generated by excessive alcohol consumption.
The injuries required assistance to nine people; Due to pathologies not related to the development of Carnival, 21 patients were intervened; and it was necessary to refer two people to hospitals for diagnostic tests.
The Unit Attached to the Minors’ Prosecutor’s Office of the Local Police recorded the data of 13 minors during the daytime celebration of Carnival, eight of them treated for suffering from alcohol poisoning. In addition, in the Violet Point installed in the Hospital del Carnaval itself, it was only necessary to carry out awareness-raising tasks.
