The Cabildo de Tenerife, through the Institute of Social and Social Care (IASS), has carried out an expansion of the social and health center for the elderly in Santa Úrsula, thanks to which 25 new residential care spaces are created for users of the area, reaching a total of 85. The forecast is that, as of April, these new places will begin to be occupied, once the area enabled is equipped with the necessary furniture.
The president of the Cabildo, Pedro Martín, together with the insular councilor for Social Action, Marián Franquet; the director of Technological Innovation and Citizen Attention, Sioni Bacallado, and the mayor of Santa Úrsula, Juan Manuel Acosta, visited the new facilities yesterday, the works of which were completed last January and also included the reform of some spaces that were already in operation , such as the common bathrooms, as well as the pavement of the terrace and the painting of part of the facade of the property. Pedro Martín highlighted that, “with the new facilities, which occupy an area of more than 700 square meters, spaciousness and comfort have been gained, so that older people can have not only a personal space, but also an area for recreation and coexistence.
