A crowd shares the contagious joy of the Arena Apotheosis of Puerto de la Cruz

A splendid sun greeted the return of the Coso Apotheosis that yesterday departed as is traditional from Paseo de Colón, in the tourist heart of Puerto de la Cruz, and brought together more than 30,000 people, according to sources from the security device deployed at the party.

With the Queen of Carnival as the flag, in addition to the Children’s Throne, all the groups of the Porto Carnival paraded with the best atmosphere where murgas, comparsas, choreographic groups, enjoyed the warmth of the public, the people in general and the thousands of tourists who These days, the hotels in the city are filled with the best emotions that are typical in parties where color, rhythm and life are found.

At 4:30 p.m., as planned, a bullfight began that lasted until night and culminated beyond the Plaza del Charco, where one of the most anticipated Carnival days began. “We are very proud to offer the best Carnival, which is that of Puerto de la Cruz, to all our visitors who participate as one more in an Arena that belongs to everyone,” stressed the mayor, Marco González.

The rhythm did not stop during the more than two hours in which the parade illuminated the faces of so many families that are the heart and soul of the tourist city.

Gala of the elderly

This Sunday the gala for the Elderly will take place, which will begin at 5:00 p.m. at the carnival venue on the pier with 10 applicants to represent the municipality in the Gala for the Elderly of the Carnival of Santa Cruz de Tenerife 2024. The event will be presented by Regina Monasterio , will have free admission and will feature performances by characters from En otra clave, such as ‘Servando y Panchita’, Natalia Cordero, Vicente Rey, the Renacer Theater of the Puerto de la Cruz Senior Center and the rondalla of the same name. Next, the Tourist Gala will take place, which will begin in the same venue at 8:30 p.m. with great surprises and will offer the best of the Porto Carnival groups.
